Consilium Chartered Accountants has announced the appointment of Siobhan Moore as new Corporate Finance director.

The move enhances Consilium’s abilities in deal making and lead advisory services, following another year of growth that has seen employee numbers increase by 20%.

Moore joins Consilium from SIS Ventures where she managed a portfolio of disruptive businesses developing innovative solutions for society’s greatest challenges. Prior to this, she built extensive Corporate Finance advisory experience with Johnston Carmichael

She will support all aspects of client Corporate Finance lead advisory and due diligence services for business owners, banks, private equity houses and investors. She will also support Consilium’s aims to improve diversity in investment, entrepreneurship, and the accountancy profession.

Regarding her appointment, Moore said: “Joining Consilium’s Corporate Finance team is an exciting opportunity. I wanted to be part of the firm’s friendly, supportive and highly respected team, whose values closely align with my own.

“I’m eager to help drive the continued growth and success of this modern, progressive firm and look forward to learning from, and sharing my expertise, with the talented team.”

The firm has also welcomed Thomas McGrath to the Corporate Finance team. He joins the Glasgow firm from Royal Bank of Scotland where he was responsible for credit analysis of commercial bank customers.

A qualified CA following his post-graduate training with PwC, he will handle financial due diligence, financial projections and grant reporting for businesses, banks, private equity houses and private investors. He will also support the wider team with business disposal and business valuation services.

McGrath said: “Consilium’s professional yet relaxed atmosphere and focus on the needs of business owners was a huge attraction for me. I’m excited to be joining the firm’s Corporate Finance team and look forward to playing a key role in helping our clients achieve their goals.”

Corporate Finance partner Linzi Wilson added: “Bringing Siobhan and Thomas on board is central to our plans to expand Consilium’s Corporate Finance offering. Their expertise and knowledge will be crucial as we support more clients in lead advisory, business disposal and mergers and acquisitions. I’m delighted that Siobhan and Thomas share our vision and values and have chosen Consilium for the next phase of their respective careers.”
