BDO has announced the appointment of James Billingham and Tim Lawrence as new partners in its financial services team in the firm’s London office.

The appointments are part of the firm’s “continued investment” in audit quality.

Billingham, who joins from EY, and Lawrence, who joins from PwC, both have a wealth of experience in the audit of entities within the financial services sector.

In their new roles, they will be responsible for the audit of banking, alternative finance, and related entities.

Neil Fung-On, head of financial services at BDO, said: “The financial services industry continues to witness rapid change, with an expanding banking regulatory landscape where new entrants apply innovative technologies.

“James and Tim’s appointments are a key part of our ongoing strategic investment in the financial services team, ensuring we have the skills, experience, and capacity to deliver quality audits.”
