KP Simpson Certified Public Accountants, which is based in Jarrow, South Shields, has announced the appointment of Alex Hudson and Dawn Stott to the roles of partner within the firm.

The news comes as the firms experienced rapid growth over the last year, following the firm’s acquisition of two other accountancy practices in South Shields, GR Stenton and Co and Steven Bears and Co, which have respectively been in business for over 30 years.

In addition, the North East firm also relocated to a new office in Harton Village, South Shields, retaining the staff and clients from its latest acquisitions.

Andrew Potts, managing director of KP Simpson, said: “Our aim is to offer each and every client the same level of skill, knowledge, and advice that we always have, as well as build on a strong customer service ethic to maintain standards and improve relationships with all our clients, no matter how big or small.”

Stott said: “It’s been a bit of a roller coaster for us all over the last few months, with the takeovers, becoming a partner, our rebrand and opening another office, but we love to stay busy and supporting our clients is what we do best.

“We’re very much looking forward to the future and our 30-strong workforce are supporting us all the way.”

Hudson added: “I’m delighted to be made partner, along with Dawn. There are some exciting times ahead and I am proud to be part of such a growing business.”
