Lovewell Blake appoints two new managers

Lovewell Blake has announced the appointment of two new managers, including Alex Harrington who will head up the tax team in the firm’s specialist Healthcare Department, and James Rix who has been appointed manager at Lovewell Blake’s Ely office.

In his new role, Harrington will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance, planning and advisory services for healthcare practitioners, practices, and NHS and private consultants.

He joined Lovewell Blake in 2014, having previously worked at a top 10 national firm. Harrington qualified as a certified chartered accountant in 2018 with ACCA, and as a chartered tax adviser in 2021. He is a member of the chartered institute of taxation (CIOT).

Meanwhile, Rix specialises in advising SMEs in all aspects of their business. He has a portfolio of clients across many sectors, and has a specialist interest in completing grant reviews for clients receiving funding from organisations such as InnovateUK.

Rix is a chartered certified accountant, having embarked on his accountancy career in 2010, and joining Lovewell Blake in 2016.
