Azets has appointed three new senior team members to its Midlands team.

Jay Hussain joins as partner in the risk assurance department, Tim Thackaberry has been appointed as associate director in the forensic accounting team, and Joe Dimambro has been appointed senior manager in the accounts and business advisory service team. 

Hussain joins the firm’s risk assurance team where he will help to grow the non-statutory audit and advisory services across the Midlands region. He is a CIPFA qualified practitioner with over 20 years experience of working with audit committees and executive teams of public and private sector organisations to improve their business process, ways of working and overall efficiency. 

He has previously worked at KPMG, Haines Watts and Moore Stephens and brings a wealth of experience covering internal audit, transformation, fraud investigations, regulatory “trouble shooting” and organisational development. 

As associate director, Thackaberry will look to strengthen Azets’ growing forensic accounting and valuations practice in the Midlands. He adds more than 20 years’ experience to the team and joins from BDO, where he has spent the past four years as valuations manager. 

Both Hussain and Thackaberry will be based at Azets’ Birmingham office.

Meanwhile, Dimambro specialises in supporting owner-managed businesses grow by utilising cloud-based accounting. Within his role as senior manager, he also advises clients on business efficiency, accounts preparation and tax from Azets’ Walsall office.
