PwC UK appoints Suzanne Baxter as independent non-executive

Baxter began her career at PwC, specialising in corporate finance and audit, and spent 11 years as CFO at Mitie Group

PwC UK has appointed Suzanne Baxter as a new independent non-executive (INE), joining the firm’s Public Interest Body (PIB) alongside chair Dame Fiona Kendrick DBE, Victoria Raffé and Philip Rycroft CB.

Baxter is an experienced chair, director and finance professional with board and committee experience. She is currently a non-executive board member of Pinsent Masons International, non-executive director and audit committee chair of Ascential plc and Auction Technology Group plc, and she is an adviser with BGF on its investment in Burrington Estates.

She began her career at PwC, specialising in corporate finance and audit, and built an executive career in the professional and business services sectors, including 11 years as a FTSE250 CFO at Mitie Group.

Her pro-bono activities have included advisory board and chair roles with Business in the Community and chair of the Business Services Association.

She was recognised as South West Business Woman of the Year and received the ICAEW’s Inspiring Confidence in Business award for her work in promoting diversity and responsible business practice.

Additionally, Baxter is a former commissioner and board member at the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
