Phoenix Group Holdings has announced the appointment of KPMG as its new auditor from 2024.
The appointment, which is subject to shareholder approval at the 2024 Annual General Meeting, will see KPMG become its auditor for the financial year ending 31 December 2024.
KPMG’s proposed appointment has been approved by Phoenix’s board and follows a thorough tender process overseen by the company’s board Audit Committee.
KPMG will replace EY who were unable to participate in the tender process due to their tenure, in accordance with mandatory “audit firm rotation requirements”.
As a result, EY will continue in its role as Phoenix’s external auditor for financial periods up to 31 December 2023.
