WMT Chartered Accountants has announced the appointment of Chris Godsave as head of audit and assurance and client partner.
Godsave joins WMT from a regional practice, where he spent 26 years and was instrumental in setting up its first central London office, developing the firm’s outsourced services function and where he was the head of digital strategy.
During his career the firm said he has developed “numerous sector specialisms”, including property, professional services, technology and healthcare, as well as in advising owner-managed businesses more generally on both financial and strategic support.
Godsave said: “Business owners are now increasingly able to generate vast amounts of ever more complex and detailed information about their businesses, but with little guidance as to how they can use it to achieve their objectives.
“I’m looking forward to providing clients with personal support, to share the burden on their shoulders, whilst offering meaningful analysis of their business performance and advice on how they can move their businesses forward.”
He added: “It is great to be joining WMT, a firm that is well known for the strength of its commitment to offering clients a first-class service.”
Andrew Williamson, managing partner at WMT Chartered Accountants, said: “Chris brings with him an impressive track record of providing advisory services to business owners and helping them make sense of a deluge of information.
“It is great to have him on board and I know our clients will value the insights he brings.”
