Crowe has announced the promotion of Rob Janering as corporate VAT partner and Stuart Buglass as head of the firm’s HR advisory team, effective from 1 october 2021.

The firm has said Janering’s appointment “bolsters” Crowe’s “corporate offering”, giving the firm an even greater foothold in the corporate market, whilst Buglass’ promotion “underlines” the firm’s commitment to providing a leading HR service.

According to Crowe, Janering has almost 20 years of experience as a VAT professional having taken on roles within top 10, Big Four and boutique consulting firms and in his new role is set to lead on VAT matters within the retail and e-commerce, manufacturing and TMT sectors.

Crowe has also revealed Buglass has more than 20 years of HR consultancy experience, including “leading” consultancy firm Lloyds TSB and is set to establish a team of HR specialists that provide services to UK and international clients.

Nigel Bostock, chief executive of Crowe UK, said: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Stuart and Rob to the partnership. Both are key assets to their respective teams, and they bring a wealth of experience to these roles.”

Janering added: “I am delighted to be joining the partnership at Crowe and look forward to continuing with helping our clients as they navigate the evolving indirect taxes landscape.”

Buglass said: “I am thrilled by this promotion and the opportunity to continue growing and contributing to Crowe’s market leading HR advisory practice. The landscape continues to change, and I look forward to helping our clients to overcome the new challenges around recruitment, retention and new working patterns.”
