BDO wins STEP’s Accountancy Team of the Year award

BDO has won Accountancy Team of the Year, in the large firm category, at the STEP 2020/21 Private Client Awards, which took place in a virtual ceremony on 28 December.

STEP is a global professional association for firms and individuals advising families across generations.

The association’s award ceremony is highly regarded within the professional services industry and all entries are subject to a “rigorous, practitioner-led judging process” in order to select the winners.

Speaking on BDO’s win, the judges said: “‘With impressive growth both in size and offering, BDO UK is marked out by their commitment to training and contribution to the wider profession, and their innovative ways of engaging with clients.”

Mark Walley, STEP’s chief executive, said: “We couldn’t come together in person this year, but we felt that it was especially important to celebrate all the best of the industry in such times.

“It is testimony to the resilience and adaptability of this profession that we had so many entries from firms and individuals globally who have all been doing amazing things. Huge congratulations to all our finalists and winners.”
