TWP Accounting merges with Schonhut Carr and Co

Accountancy firm TWP has announced a merger with Schonhut Carr and Co as part of its ongoing growth plans.

The two Weybridge based practices have merged, but the firm will continue as TWP going forward and will operate from its existing office at the Old Rectory in Weybridge.

Under the arrangements of the deal, Schonhut Carr and Co’s partners, John and Teresa Carr, will join as consultants and their two staff members will become TWP employees.

Their new position as consultants will mean that John and Teresa can take a step back to pursue other interests, having spent more than 40 years in the accounting profession.

Speaking about the merger, John said: “We had spoken with various practices who were keen to combine firms and following these discussions have carefully selected TWP. TWP have highly regarded specialist accounting departments. As such, they are well placed to provide a definitive, forward-thinking service to our clients.”

The majority of Schonhut Carr and Co’s local clients will now benefit from the wide range of services offered by TWP Accounting, but the firm hopes the growth of its team will allow the firm to attract many more businesses and individuals in the future.

Paul Hawksley, managing partner at TWP, added: “We are really excited to be joining forces with the team at Schonhut Carr and Co under the TWP name. We are certain that by growing our practice in this way we can deliver our highly regarded accounting and business advice services to an even wider audience in the future.”
