Deloitte has announced a number of new appointments to its UK executive team, with 14 new partners from across the firm set to join the Executive team, effective 1 February 2023.
The appointments comprise 29% women and 14% from an ethnic minority background, and they were appointed by senior partner and CEO Richard Houston, who was recently re-elected in his role until 2027.
Each member of the UK Executive takes responsibility for leading an area of the firm’s operations and strategy, alongside client delivery and people development.
Cindy Chan, currently Financial Services leader for Risk Advisory, will become managing partner for Risk Advisory. She has been with the firm for 30 years and is a member of Deloitte’s UK Oversight Board.
Rob Cullen will take on the role of managing partner for Consulting. He first joined the firm’s Consulting practice in 1998 and is currently the lead partner for Deloitte’s enterprise technology practice.
Philip Mills, Global Tax and Legal leader, has also been named UK managing partner effective 1 June 2023. He succeeds Stephen Griggs who will be retiring next year.
Additionally, Charindra Pathiwille will become the new managing partner for Financial Advisory. Pathiwille is currently head of London Transaction Services in Financial Advisory.
Meanwhile, Nick Turner has been appointed as managing partner for Growth. He will be responsible for setting and delivering on the firm’s UK Growth strategy, and will also lead on Deloitte’s strategic advisory services, innovation and all industry and client programmes, including brand.
Duncan Farrow-Smith has also been appointed to a newly-created role of chief strategy officer, focusing on how the firm adapts to issues such as the economy, geopolitics and the competitive landscape.
Richard Houston, senior partner and CEO, said: “I would like to congratulate Cindy, Rob, Philip, Charindra, Nick and Duncan on their new roles. I and the rest of the Executive look forward to working with this next generation of leaders so that we can continue the great progress we have already made in embedding purpose in all our decision-making.
“As reflected in our recent financial results announcement, our firm is in a strong position and this is down to the excellent leadership and focus of our previous Executive team. I would like to thank Richard Bell, Pauline Biddle, Stephen Griggs, Anne-Marie Malley and Andy Morris for all their support and hard work.”
