Burgis and Bullock has been recognised for its commitment to employee development from ACCA.

The firm received the Platinum Level Approved Employer status from the global accounting body.

After a recent training inspection, its status was updated from its previous Gold Approved Employer title.

The newfound status recognises the firm as “providing the highest level of support and assistance for the ACCA members and students it employs”.

It also recognises the financial support provided to employees who are studying or sitting for the ACCA examinations.

Burgis and Bullock currently employs 19 trainees, of which nine are studying for the ACCA qualification

Trainees studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and Chartered Institute of Taxation qualifications are also employed by the firm.

Simon Chapman, partner at Burgis and Bullock, said: “To have received the new Platinum Level Approved Employer status is a fantastic achievement for the firm.”

“We have held gold status for many years, but this upgrade is recognition of the dedicated work the team at Burgis and Bullock has put in to develop our offering for the trainees we support.”

He added: “Burgis and Bullock supports trainees for a range of qualifications and is always looking to help progress new talent in the profession. We are delighted to have received this new employer status from the ACCA.”
