Originally from Felixstowe, Nichols now lives in Ipswich with his wife, Elizabeth. He’s a keen golfer and a lifelong supporter of Ipswich Town FC.
He said: “Becoming a partner at Larking Gowen has been a personal goal since I joined in 2020. I’m incredibly proud and excited to take this next step from 1 April. I’m looking forward to continuing to support the growth and development of our talented people and strengthening our client relationships across Suffolk and Essex as we grow our regional presence.”
Managing partner, Julie Grimmer, added: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome James to the partnership. It is always great to see one of our existing team making the progression to partnership. James’ promotion continues to illustrate our people remain at the heart of everything we do.

We remain committed to building long term relationships which deliver real value to our clients and to this region. I, along with all existing partners in the business wish James all the very best in his new role.”
