Larking Gowen has expanded its Business Tax Advisory team with the appointment of Andrew Robinson as partner, who joined on 1 April 2025.
Robinson will work alongside partner Dominic Carter in leading the Business Tax Advisory team.
He brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the provision of taxation advice to entrepreneurial, owner-managed businesses, charities and not-for-profit organisations and has experience in leading the provision of taxation services in national firms.
Robinson said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to play a leadership role in a highly respected, independent regional firm, who remains committed to the region and to client service. I spent five very enjoyable years working in Norwich ‘in a previous life’ and am looking forward to working with my new colleagues to deliver the best possible tax support to businesses across East Anglia.
“I’ve been very fortunate to have gained a broad range of experience over the course of my career, which started in Hertfordshire before I returned to my roots in Suffolk nearly 15 years ago. Having spent my entire career to date with national firms, I’m really excited to have this opportunity to focus on supporting our thriving East Anglian business community over the coming years at Larking Gowen. It genuinely feels like this is what the last 25-plus years have been leading towards.”
Julie Grimmer, managing partner at Larking Gowen, added: “I am really pleased to see this part of our strategy moving forward. I look forward to welcoming Andrew to the team. We act for a diverse and dynamic range of businesses in the region, and we are rightly proud of our role in advising the not-for-profit sector.
“The Business Tax Advisory team plays a key role in supporting these parts of our client base, embracing all aspects of corporate, shareholder and employment taxes and VAT. Andrew brings with him not only the technical skills and experience required, but also a commitment to this region and, perhaps most important of all, the empathy and desire needed to deliver on our core values, in respect of people development and on our client service commitment.”
