The Scottish Parliament has announced the appointment of Bruce Cartwright as its new chair and non-executive member to the board of Audit Scotland.
Effective 1 October, Cartwright will be succeeding Colin Crosby in the role, as his term is due to end in September.
Cartwright is known within the industry as the chief executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
Meanwhile, Catherine Maclean will join the board as a non-executive member in July. She succeeds Jackie Mann at the conclusion of her term.
Maclean previously served on the board as the first apprentice for Audit Scotland.
The board supervises the body responsible for auditing £57bn of annual public spending in Scotland.
