Leeds accountancy firm Brown Butler has surpassed a headcount of 100 employees, marking what it described as a “testament to the dedication” of its team.

The practice, which is led by 16 directors, said the milestone reflects its focus on developing and retaining talent, with many employees having started their careers at the firm.

Brown Butler currently has almost 20 trainees across its departments, who are supported in gaining professional qualifications. Many remain with the firm to build long-term careers.

Its longest-serving employee joined in 1975, with others having clocked up decades of service. The firm said this contributed to a “consistent and highly personalised service”.

It has also achieved a 50:50 gender balance and said its inclusive culture brings a wide range of perspectives that benefit clients and staff.

Director James White said: “Surpassing 100 employees is an exciting moment for our firm and a testament to the dedication of our team. By investing in training, fostering career development, and creating a supportive environment, we’ve built a practice that thrives on expertise and collaboration.

“We’re especially proud of our ability to retain long-serving colleagues, which enhances the quality and consistency of service we offer to our clients. We’ve built a practice that thrives on expertise and collaboration.”
