Beever and Struthers audit partner Joe Diston has been appointed as the new Global IFRS leader for HLB International.
Diston joined Beever and Struthers in 2023 and was promoted to partner this year. In his expanded global role, he will lead IFRS strategy and technical alignment across the HLB network, supporting member firms and clients as they navigate complex international financial reporting challenges.
He brings more than 15 years of Big 4 experience to the role, having led audits and advisory engagements for clients across the UK, Europe, US, and the Cayman Islands particularly within private equity, financial services, and wealth management. Beever and Struthers is an active member of HLB International
He is a specialist in IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP, with a strong technical knowledge of cross-border reporting, IFRS conversions, and the adoption of new standards. He also serves as a non-executive director at Wickersley Partnership Trust, where he supports the financial governance of 13 schools.
