Sedulo has announced its expansion in Birmingham with the upcoming opening of a new regional base at Bruntwood SciTech’s Cornwall Buildings.

The group’s new 5,000 sq ft base, which is expected to complete by summer 2025, will support the company’s growth and enable its hub to support up to 40 people.

The business first established a presence in Birmingham in March 2024, through the acquisition of R&D tax specialists BTA Services.

The move to Cornwall Buildings will see Sedulo push forward plans for a leisure and events space within the building that will echo Metro Bar – a former business social hub housed in the same building in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Cornwall Buildings combines heritage character with modern workspace, offering the group access to flexible office space, coworking areas, meeting rooms, and a business lounge.

The new base will also see the business benefit from the proximity of the 130+ technology, digital and innovation business ecosystem located across four city centre innovation hubs and two campuses already established in Birmingham by Bruntwood SciTech – a joint venture between Bruntwood, L&G and Greater Manchester Pension Fund.

Rob Valentine, regional director for Bruntwood SciTech, said: “Sedulo joining Cornwall Buildings underlines the benefits that the city can provide firms that are constantly seeking out opportunities for growth – offering an environment that supports their momentum and affords extensive networking opportunities to drive innovation.

“We also know the importance of choosing a workspace where people will want to spend time and feel comfortable, and that’s exactly what Cornwall Buildings offers.”

Paul Cheetham, founder and managing partner of Sedulo, added: “The move to Cornwall Buildings will enable us to expand our services and support our wider national growth strategy, with access to high profile professional services and innovative businesses, as well as the opportunity to connect with new talent and professionals as part of our plans to revitalise networking in the city.

“Joining the Bruntwood SciTech ecosystem was a big draw for the move and will help support our future growth plans, through new connections, collaboration, and access to growth support.”
