Forvis Mazars has reinforced its commitment to sustainability through new progress on its ESG goals and strategic priorities for the year ahead as highlighted in its 2024 UK Sustainability Report.

Understanding the need to accelerate change, the firm has brought forward its commitment to achieve net zero emissions across its business and value chain by five years to 2045, establishing science-based emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.

The firm has also been keen to share its knowledge and expertise more widely by expanding its thought leadership and continuing to support the development of sustainability standards and guidance through external panels, committees and media content.

These initiatives were driven by a commitment to embed sustainability considerations across every aspect of the business, as well as offering more holistic, collaborative support to clients as they navigate an increasing regulatory environment.

As part of the firm’s commitment to the public interest and the delivery of high-quality services, Forvis Mazars has reviewed and updated its quality assurance measures, including enhancing the delivery of their Quality Risk Management training to increase engagement.

Recognising the value AI tools can bring in optimising quality and efficiency, Forvis Mazars has also integrated new innovations into the firm’s tools and systems, including the launch of a data breach app to streamline the process for employees registering an actual or potential data breach.

Forvis Mazars CEO, James Gilbey, said: “At Forvis Mazars, we take pride in our ability to evolve as we continuously prepare for what’s next. Our approach to sustainability reflects our forward-looking approach, aiming to create lasting positive change, not just for our people and clients, but for society as a whole. Over the past year, we have made meaningful strides in pursuit of this vision and this is something we remain committed to as we continue to grow our business.”
