DTE Business Advisers has promoted Kate Hughes and Richard Askey to partner.

DTE said the promotions reflect its commitment to developing their people, with Hughes and Askey both initially joining as trainees and working their way up to partner.

The news comes in the same year that DTE became part of Accountancy Group, DJH. It said the partnership has created more opportunities for DTE’s clients with extended in-house specialist support services, and for their teams to further experience with access to wider support.

Hughes said: “I am delighted to become a partner at DTE. It is an exciting time in the company as we continue to grow, and following our partnership with DJH, we can offer even more service lines to our clients. I look forward to continuing to support the businesses we work with to achieve their goals.”

Askey added: “It has been a longstanding ambition of mine to become a partner, and I am extremely pleased to have achieved this goal. There have been a number of exciting changes at DTE within the last 12 months, not least with us joining DJH. I am therefore looking forward to fresh challenges in my new role and I remain focused on providing a high level of service to a wide range of clients, across many different sectors.”

Richard Taylor, Director, said: “I am extremely pleased for Kate and Richard. They are both invaluable members of our team and it’s been a pleasure to watch them grow and develop over the years. I look forward to seeing their continued growth and development in their new roles.”
