Forvis Mazars has announced the appointment of Julie Breakell to the role of audit partner in its Poole office.

The news comes as the firm continues to respond to demand from privately owned businesses for a range of services in the South West

In her new role, Breakell will focus on the provision of audit to this critical segment of the market.

Having worked in the region for over 20 years, she is immersed in the local market and is familiar with the region’s business dynamics, regulatory environment, and industry challenges.

According to the firm, Breakell’s appointment aligns with a period of double-digit growth for Mazars before it recently became Forvis Mazars.

As the firm continues to expand its presence in the region, Breakell will play a pivotal role in continuing to grow Forvis Mazars’ audit practice in the South West.

Lesley Fox, partner in privately owned business at Forvis Mazars, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Julie to our Poole office. With her in-depth knowledge of audit and technical expertise built over a number of years, we are confident that she will be a valuable addition to our team as we continue to expand in the South-West.

“Julie’s passion for teamwork, diversity and culture will also have a positive impact and we look forward to the benefits her presence will bring to the wider team.”
