Water company Severn Trent has announced that PwC will become its auditor for the year ending 31 March 2026.

The company completed a formal tender process, overseen by its audit and risk committee to decide on its new auditor.

PwC has been recommended by the board and a resolution will be put to shareholders at its AGM in 2025.

Deloitte, which has been the company’s auditor since the year ended 31 March 2006, will continue in the role until that time.

The Big Four firm will therefore carry out Severn Trent’s audit for the year ending 31 March 2025.

Deloitte will cease to hold office as Severn Trent’s auditor at the conclusion of the company’s 2025 AGM.
