Evelyn Partners has announced the appointment of Mark Hendry to partner in order to help establish a new practice providing clients with cyber security services.
Hendry’s experience includes industry roles and a decade in the Big Four advising FTSE 350 and equivalent clients in all aspects of information and cyber risk including strategic, regulatory and post-incident transformation.
Prior to his appointment, he was the director of cyber security at DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, for three years.
Tom Shave, partner at Evelyn Partners, said: “Cyber risk has remained at the top of C-Suite risk reports for many years now and I’m delighted that in Mark we have someone with extensive experience that can provide clients with senior-level advice in this important area.
“The new practice will help our clients to address cyber security issues such as meeting the exacting standards introduced by recent and upcoming regulations, the expectations set by business partners, consumers and insurers, as well as defending against the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats being faced by modern businesses.”
He added: “I look forward to working closely with Mark to help grow our cyber security practice and to establish Evelyn Partners as a go-to name for these services.”
Hendry said: “I’m excited to be joining a forward-thinking firm that has a genuine desire to provide top-class advice and services to clients. This is something I take personal pride in myself so culturally Evelyn Partners feels like an excellent home.
“The firm holds some amazing client relationships across the business advisory and asset management practices, and I know from personal experience how significant cyber-risk is to both businesses as well as individuals.”
