DJH Mitten Clarke has announced that it is working towards obtaining B Corp certification to make a positive impact on its team, communities, and the environment.
The firm aims to play its part in creating a better world, and by becoming a B Corp firm, it will join a global community of like-minded companies that are “shaking up the business landscape”, while remaining dedicated to sustainability.
Obtaining B Corp status requires a thorough evaluation of the firm’s practices, policies and performance.
As a result, the firm has created a roadmap to address any areas for improvement before undergoing the formal assessment by B Lab, which examines internal operations, community engagement, and environmental responsibility.
Scott Heath, CEO of DJH Mitten Clarke, said: “We couldn’t be more excited about this incredible journey we are about to embark on. As trusted business advisors, we know the power of leading by example. And now, we are taking it up a notch by putting sustainability at the core of everything we do.
“With B Corp certification, we are making a commitment to our team, our clients, our partners, and the world, that we are serious about making a positive impact and building a brighter, more sustainable future.”
He added: “B Corp certification fits perfectly with our ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and social responsibility in the accountancy and business world. We have always been passionate about reducing our environmental footprint, but the B Corp process provides a clear structure and framework to deliver real change.”
By embracing the B Corp movement, the firm also seeks to inspire clients, partners, and peers to join forces in the mission to create a better world.
