Quantuma has announced the appointment of David Newton as a director in its Midlands corporate finance team, based in the Birmingham office alongside managing director Scott Peters.
Newton has more than 30 years of experience as a finance professional and strategy expert. He has previously advised on more than 15 initial public offerings and various mergers and acquisitions.
His sector experience includes real estate, financial services, software and natural resources. Newton has held roles as both a corporate finance adviser and an executive director during his career.
The appointment follows the arrival of several senior staff at the firm last year. These included managing directors Chris Lewis and Hannah Griffin, who joined the restructuring and forensic accounting teams.
Newton said: “I am delighted to be joining Quantuma and working with such a dynamic and talented team in both corporate finance and the wider firm. I am looking forward to contributing to the firm’s ambitious growth plans.”
Peters said: “David brings a wealth of experience and is a highly respected operator in the local market. Bringing him on board is a real statement of Quantuma’s commitment to growth in the region.”
Ian Barton, managing director and head of corporate finance at Quantuma, added: “We are committed to recruiting ambitious, high-quality directors as part of our expansion plans. We are therefore delighted to welcome David to our growing team in Birmingham.”
