Accounts and Legal has appointed Claire Simms as head of people as the firm continues to expand across its offices in London, Manchester and Liverpool

The role sits within the company’s wider growth strategy following a year in which it was shortlisted for the client service award at the Accounting Excellence Awards 2025.

Simms joins after 15 years at Apple, where she held senior roles overseeing people strategy, talent development and employee engagement across multiple UK sites.

Accounts and Legal said her experience will support recruitment, learning and development and wider employee initiatives as the firm scales.

Founded in 2013, Accounts and Legal provides accountancy, tax, corporate finance and legal services to UK businesses.

Simms said: “Accounts and Legal is a firm that genuinely puts its people first… Together, we’ll build on what’s already been achieved and keep pushing towards our goal of becoming one of the UK’s Top 100 Employers.”

Neil Nichols, founder of Accounts and Legal, added: “Our people are everything. The energy, care and expertise they bring is what drives great results for our clients… Having Claire on board will help us keep that focus as we grow.”
