Deloitte UK has been named among The Times’ Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality for the 10th consecutive year.

The annual list, compiled in partnership with Business in the Community (BITC), recognises organisations that demonstrate a sustained commitment to promoting gender equality in the workplace.

Deloitte introduced a policy in September 2024 offering 26 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all new parents. The policy is part of a wider effort to support employees in balancing work and family life.

The firm was also a founding partner of the Working Families ‘Family Friendly Workplaces’ accreditation and among the first to be certified.

Additionally, this year, 20 women were promoted to partner at Deloitte UK, accounting for 33% of new partner appointments. The total number of female partners now stands at 421, or 31% of the partnership.

The firm also marked 15 years of its Deloitte Academy Women on Boards programme, which has supported 344 aspiring non-executive directors from diverse industries and senior roles. It runs alongside the Deloitte Academy Race in the Boardroom programme.

In the technology sector, Deloitte UK promotes gender equality through the Fast 50 Women in Leadership initiative, which highlights high-growth tech firms led by female chief executives or teams with at least 50% women.

The company also sponsors Unlock VC, aimed at increasing gender diversity in venture capital, and its Women in Data community, which hosts events including conferences, hackathons and workshops focused on career development and mentoring.

Jackie Henry, managing partner for people and purpose at Deloitte UK, said: “Deloitte UK’s inclusion in The Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality list is important recognition of our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace, where everyone can thrive.

“I was proud to launch our new family policy providing 26 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all new parents. We know that equalising paid parenting leave is an important step in improving gender equality and in giving families the opportunity to share responsibility right from the early days of parenthood.”
