S&W has announced the appointment of Pete Davies to the role of partner in the growing forensic services team, where he will be based at the firm’s London office and lead the forensic data analytics capability.
Davies joins from EY, where he was credited with developing and expanding its data analytics practice.
He also brings over 18 years of experience in technology, analysis, and transformation, advising clients and executing large-scale programmes to detect fraud, combat corruption and identify early signals of financial, legal, and regulatory challenges.
Throughout his career, Davies has developed “advanced” fraud detection solutions for some of the largest enterprises in the UK and has successfully implemented regulatory remediation solutions affecting millions of customers for well-known brands.
Additionally, he has served as the technical lead for structured data disclosures in significant international professional practice disputes and has developed forensic data solutions for sustainability-focused customer due diligence.
Davies said: “Joining S&W at this moment feels incredibly exciting. There’s a clear sense of vision and momentum within the firm, and I’m looking forward to the opportunities ahead, adding analytics capabilities to the already robust forensics offering. It’s an inspiring time to contribute and help shape the next chapter of growth.”
John Rugman, head of advisory at S&W, added: “The expansion of our forensic services department is a key component of S&W’s growth strategy. Pete’s appointment brings invaluable strengths to our forensics team, and we are excited to leverage his expertise during this transformative period for our business and our clients.”
