James Cowper Kreston Corporate Finance team members Stewart Lambert, Jack Griggs and Becky Bodger advised Wheatley Software Solutions on its sale to Jonas Software.

Wheatley Software Solutions provides future-ready software tailored for the utilities sector, helping organisations manage their meter operations and assets. Its solutions enable meter operators and asset providers to navigate complex industry processes, supporting all types and sizes of meter portfolios.

Jonas Software manages a portfolio of over 170 independently operated software brands worldwide, providing them with the strategic guidance and financial stability needed to thrive in their markets.

Initially established in the construction and club management sectors, Jonas Software has expanded its reach into the fitness, membership, hospitality, and industrial verticals.

Today, Jonas Software delivers industry-leading enterprise management software and related services to over 100,000 customers across more than 40 vertical markets.

Darrell Boxall, Jonas Software CEO, said: “The acquisition of Wheatley Software Solutions further reinforces our commitment to the UK energy sector and strengthens our growing portfolio of specialist software providers in this space.

“Wheatley brings decades of experience, a robust platform, and trusted industry relationships that align perfectly with our strategic focus. We’re delighted to welcome their talented team to Jonas Software as we continue building long-term value across the energy and utilities market.”

Jane Bromley, CEO of Wheatley Software Solutions, added: “Jack, Becky and Stewart provided outstanding support throughout the sale of Wheatley Software Solutions. Their calm, patient, and highly organised approach made a potentially daunting process feel entirely manageable.

“Their strategic guidance gave me confidence at every stage, and their ability to present a compelling narrative through the numbers was remarkable. I felt supported and empowered from beginning to end — I couldn’t have asked for better advisors.”

Griggs said: “We were delighted to advise the shareholders of Wheatley Software Solutions on this important transaction. The deal represents an excellent strategic fit, bringing together Wheatley’s expertise in the utilities sector with the extensive portfolio of vertical market specialists within Jonas Software.

“This unique combination creates significant opportunities for growth and innovation, while allowing Wheatley to maintain its entrepreneurial independence. We look forward to seeing the continued success of the business under its new ownership.”
