Crowe UK and Horwath HTL have appointed Joe Stather as managing director of Horwath HTL UK.

Horwath HTL UK is a business unit of Crowe UK which provides strategic support to owners and operators of hospitality businesses in the UK and worldwide.

Stather joins the group from Questex, where he was vice president, market leader – operational real estate.

Prior to that he spent eight years working advising on hospitality real estate at CBRE, where he rose to the position of director.

It is hoped that he will draw on his experience in the hospitality sector to build on the company’s position as an impartial, client-first advisor, with a focus on strategic advisory, due diligence, development and urban regeneration in the UK.

Stather said: “Hospitality, tourism and leisure are coming to the fore as the capital markets rebalance risk and increasingly understand the sector’s exceptional long-term demand fundamentals, attracting informed investors. Horwath HTL is a pure, independent advisor, where owners and investors can be reassured that we are putting their objectives first.
