PwC has strengthened its deals practice with the appointment of Hugh Man as a partner in its corporate finance team.
Man joins the firm from investment bank Jefferies International where he was managing director and head of EMEA Insurance.
In that role he was lead financial M&A advisor to life and pensions, non-life insurance, reinsurance as well as distribution and services clients.
He brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry and has worked on numerous transactions in those sectors including M&A, capital markets and financing deals.
In his new role, Man will bring his wealth of experience to focus on M&A and capital raising in the insurance sector, building on PwC’s strong presence in this sector. He will be based in PwC’s London office.
Lucy Stapleton, global and UK head of Deals at PwC, said: “Insurance is a strategically important sector for us, and Hugh’s arrival marks a significant step in strengthening our leadership in this space.
“I am thrilled to welcome Hugh to PwC, he brings outstanding experience and a proven track record of advising on complex, high-value transactions across insurance and financial services. His appointment enhances our ability to support clients with deep sector insight and reflects our continued focus on growth in this priority area.”
Man added: “I am excited by the way PwC can truly differentiate itself in the insurance M&A market because of the breadth and depth of insurance capabilities across the 1000+ people who focus on the sector. Working together with other PwC colleagues I am confident that I can maximise value for my clients.”
