ICAEW has announced the appointment of Sandra Mundy as a non-lay member of its regulatory board as of this month for a three-year term.
A chartered accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner, Mundy has been a partner at James Cowper Kreston since 2009 and leads the firm’s turnaround restructuring and insolvency team.
She has previously worked as a member of ICAEW’s restructuring and insolvency advisory group. More recently, she was a member of the appeals committee from 2018 to 2024.
The institute’s regulatory board is responsible for oversight of ICAEW’s regulatory and disciplinary work to ensure that “it is acting in the public interest and strengthening trust” in the profession.
Mundy said: “Ensuring public confidence in the accountancy profession is of utmost importance to me. I am committed to working collaboratively with my fellow board members to uphold the required high standards, and strengthen trust and confidence across the profession.”
