Sedulo has hailed its progress after recently being awarded a number of accolades, including earning the “Gold Award” from Investors in People and receiving a rating of “Outstanding” from Best Companies.
The news follows the group’s year-end results announced at the beginning of 2024 as surpassing £14.9m in revenues – an 18% increase on last year.
Founder Paul Cheetham-Karcz said: “In a landscape of 38,000 registered accountants in the UK, making it to position 70, or to the top 0.2%, is amazing. This accomplishment is a testament to the success of our meticulous three-year plan, which involved a national restructure and strategic hire of key stakeholders throughout 2023.
“In Q3, we also introduced a client satisfaction pulse rating, and we were delighted that the Net Promoter Score was 56, again putting us in-line with the Big Four and demonstrating that we’re a fantastic alternative for someone looking for a bespoke, personalised service rivalling those of world-renowned accountancy firms.”
Investors in People was originally founded in 1991 to make work better. Since that time, they’ve accredited over 50,000 organisations, making them the global benchmark when it comes to people management.
People and culture manager at Sedulo Group, Jess Walton, said: “It is an amazing feeling to see the Gold Accreditation come through, especially since only 26% of companies will reach this level. The reaccreditation assessment over the last few weeks has provided a great opportunity for us to hear from the whole team and we have learnt a lot from the process.
“We will now use the report we have received to help formulate an action plan for further improvements in the future. As a leadership team, we know there is always more for us to learn – and we commit to continuing to listen and embrace any feedback to enable us to do this. Within the next three years, we are aiming for the Platinum award, which will hopefully coincide with our exciting ambitions to double in size.”
Completing the series of accolades was the award of a two-out-of-three-star rating from Best Companies. The result lists Sedulo Group as an “Outstanding” employer – an increase from the previous one-star level awarded.
People and culture director at Sedulo Group, Laura McGowan, said: “Having a Best Companies accreditation is a vital recognition for us as it highlights an organisation that genuinely cares about doing things right. Every year we try to add new initiatives to show that we value our people and we are doing our best to understand what we need to do to engage with them as a team.
“Our ambitions to be a world-class employer mean we’re aiming for three stars from Best Companies, so to see our standing increase this year is proof we’re on the right track.”
