Evelyn Partners has announced the appointment of Katrina Brown as a director of responsible investment.

Brown joined Morgan Grenfell Asset Management (later Deutsche Asset Management) in 1994 where she was ultimately a director of global equities.

She has pursued a consulting career since 2002 with a focus on charities and pension funds.

This has allowed her to develop a specialism in responsible investment and, more recently, climate change and TCFD assessments.

She will join the team at Evelyn Partners which is focusing on the incorporation of ESG factors into the investment process.

Chris Kenny, head of investment management, said: “I am delighted that Katrina has chosen to join Evelyn Partners at a time when we are bolstering our capabilities in responsible investment. She will assist with developing our commercial proposition as well as accelerating the integration of ESG investment risks and opportunities into the investment process.”

Brown added: “It’s very exciting to be part of a prestigious and well-regarded organisation that already has a good foundation in responsible investment. The prospect for developing Evelyn Partners capabilities is compelling and I look forward to working with my new colleagues in this important and dynamic area.”
