Haysmacintyre has announced it has expanded its Property team with the appointment of Paul Atkins as partner.

Haysmacintyre revealed that Atkins qualified both as a chartered tax accountant and with the Association of Taxation Technicians and brings over 25 years’ experience of working with a “diverse range of clients”, with a particular focus on housebuilding and construction firms.

He joins the firm from the Vistry Group, where he held the role of Group Tax director, prior to which he held management positions at EasyJet and KPMG.

It added that Atkin’s focus in his new role will be to lead and progress the Property team’s tax growth strategy, by delivering “pragmatic advice and solutions to clients”.

The firm said Atkins’ appointment marks the next stage in Haysmacintyre’s growth plan and its commitment to investing in its people and talent, as the fifth appointment to its partnership this year.

Natasha Frangos, managing partner at Haysmacintyre, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming another new partner to Haysmacintyre. Paul’s extensive property and tax experience will bolster our already thriving practice, as he helps support the team towards further growth.

“Nurturing our internal talent and bringing in the best external talent is a real strategic focus for the firm this year, and we’re looking forward to having Paul with us as we take the next step in our growth journey.”

Atkins added: “Haysmacintyre is a firm renowned for its high quality, specialist tax advice which puts its people and clients at the heart of what it does. The firm is at an exciting stage of its journey to continued growth, and I’m looking forward to joining the Property team, and working alongside a range of hugely talented individuals and sector specialists to make a real difference to clients.”
