Bishop Fleming has announced the appointment of Jennifer Morris as its new audit manager to the firm’s Bristol team following increased demand for audit in the area, most notably in the public sector and education.

This is the firm’s latest appointment after it also recruited an additional audit partner and audit director, boosting the public sector and education team.

Bishop Fleming’s audit team posted record fee growth of 23% in 2021/2022, and with the addition of a new Cheltenham office last year, the firm is now focussing on its growth targets across the South West.

Having recently been appointed on the Public Sector Audit Appointments (PSAA) scheme, Bishop Fleming is also seeking to fill various roles across the offices to join its growing public sector audit team in delivering a range of public sector audits for local government, police, fire services, national parks and NHS trusts.

Morris said: “I am delighted to join Bishop Fleming and excited by the vision that the business has for the future. I am particularly looking forward to working with clients and prospects across the South West.

“Bishop Fleming is a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to offer my skills and knowledge to clients in an exciting and growing market.”

Craig Sullivan, audit partner at Bishop Fleming, said: “It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Jennifer to our business. Her appointment represents a significant enhancement to our audit services as we look towards an exciting period of growth.

“Jennifer will be a great asset to our business and will strengthen the specialist services we can offer to our clients.”

Andrew Sandiford, managing partner at Bishop Fleming, added: “Jennifer’s appointment fits in with the firm’s strategy of growing our audit services to our clients. We’re delighted to start the new year like we ended the last one – attracting the very best talent in the market to our business.”
