Midlands-based accounting and advisory firm PKF Smith Cooper has appointed Lauryn Mayson as its new corporate finance executive as it focuses on recruiting new talent to scale up the division.

Mayson graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 with a BSc in Geography and kickstarted her Corporate Finance career with a top 10 firm.

In her new role as corporate finance executive at PKF, Mayson will be based in the Birmingham office.

PKF said it has “ambitious plans” to expand its corporate finance division in the Midlands and is seeking high calibre individuals and ambitious professionals. This includes a desire to expand both its advisory and its transaction services offerings.

Darren Hodson, corporate finance partner at PKF Smith Cooper, said: “We are pleased to welcome Lauryn to our team and are confident she will prove herself to be a valuable asset to our company and our clients.

“We are undergoing an exciting period of growth at PKF and continue to invest in our highly experienced team. We are currently recruiting at all levels for ambitious individuals who are looking to make a move into Corporate Finance or take the next steps in their existing careers.”

Mayson added: “Thank you to PKF for giving me the opportunity to join the Corporate Finance division. I am looking forward to working with and learning from the rest of the team, in addition to supporting them in serving our clients during what will hopefully be another busy year of dealmaking for the Midlands.”
