Armstrong Watson has announced the appointment of Ed Connell as a director of the firm’s Leeds restructuring and insolvency team, as well as the promotion of Ann Probert as senior manager within the same team.

Connell, who joined the team in March, has 15 years of insolvency experience for Big Four firms leading insolvency, advisory and contingency planning engagements across various sectors including retail, real estate, manufacturing, and leisure.

Over the last eight years, he has also been head of finance and financial director for a couple of Yorkshire-based SME companies, operating in the property development and construction sectors.

Meanwhile, Probert’s promotion to senior manager comes as she initially joined the team in 2015 with experience in restructuring and insolvency. She qualified as a corporate insolvency practitioner in 2020.

In addition, the team has also been expanded at a manager level with Paul Valentine, who is due to join in November of this year from Begbies Traynor

Valentine has nearly 20 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency and holds JIE qualifications in personal insolvency and liquidations.
