Azets appoints associate director for Hampshire audit team
Uzair Khan joins Azets from EY where he was an audit manager and will be based at the firm’s Portsmouth and Southampton offices
Top 10 audit and accountancy firm Azets has announced the appointment of Uzair Khan to the role of associate director in the Solent audit team.
In his new role, Khan will be based at Azets’ Portsmouth and Southampton offices and will work regionally across the Solent area. His responsibilities will also include providing a deep understanding of the businesses and advising on technical accounting matters, engaging with clients on identifying potential problems, as well as advising them on the internal control and financial reporting framework.
In addition, Khan will also be helping to develop and grow the audit service line in the Solent region, working closely with the audit leadership team comprising Zara Hogg, Richard Hutchinson, Michael Wesley, and regional managing partner Adam Wilson.
Khan reportedly trained with KMPG in the United Arab Emirates before moving to the UK in 2013. He also worked with other Big 4 firms KPMG and PwC in the UK, developing expertise in the manufacturing and retail sectors.
Prior to joining Azets, he reportedly worked as an audit manager for three and a half years at EY in the Thames Valley region.
