Kreston Reeves has announced it has strengthened its corporate tax team with the appointments of senior managers Zhen Bailey and Mohammed Mujtaba.

Additionally, Sam Jones has been promoted to director. She joined the firm in 2003 and focuses on all aspects of tax for owner-managed businesses.

Bailey joined Kreston Reeves from business advisors The Briars Group, bringing expertise in helping entrepreneurial international businesses to relocate to and grow in the UK. She also regularly works alongside venture capital and private equity investors.

Bailey works across a number of industry sectors, particularly the IT, life sciences and management consultancy sectors. She also works across all areas of corporate tax with specific interests in EIS investment, R&D tax credits, expatriate tax and employment taxes.

Meanwhile, Mujtaba joined the firm in 2019 and focuses on cross border tax for international businesses.

Bailey said: “Businesses and entrepreneurs relocating to the UK want to ‘land and expand’. The services we provide help to make that happen. I am thrilled to be joining the team and look forward to building our practice further.”

Daniel Grainge, partner and head of tax, added: “The demand for guidance and support on UK tax from businesses and their owners is growing, and with it our team.

“Zhen will be a real asset to our clients and to the firm and we look forward to the contribution she will bring to clients. I would also like to extend the firm’s congratulations to Sam and Mohammed on their well-deserved promotions.”
