Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm, has appointed Poppy Proborespati to the role of Banking partner in its London office.

Proborespati joins from EY where she was an associate partner. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening Mazars’ client asset practice within Financial Services.

It said Proborespati has “extensive experience” in Banking, Capital Markets and Asset Management. It added she will “draw on her expertise to grow and develop a team of subject matter experts” focused on Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) regulations for investment business firms, and Safeguarding regulations for payment services and e-money firms.

Greg Simpson, partner and head of Banking Audit at Mazars, said: “We are pleased to welcome Poppy to the partnership. She has the experience, knowledge and passion to engage with the business and grow our client asset team in Financial Services. I know she will make sure that Mazars continues to lead the market and deliver the highest quality work to our clients.”
