The TaxAssist Accountants network has revealed it saw sales increase 8% last year, largely driven by increased brand awareness on “the back of successful campaigns during the height of the pandemic and its focus on delivering a broad range of advisory services”.

There are now 248 TaxAssist franchised territories across the UK, operating from 402 shops and offices looking after the needs of 77,000 clients.

The TaxAssist Group has recently changed its board, with managing director, Daren Moore FCCA now at the helm, with “ambitious plans for further growth”.

Moore said: “The TaxAssist network has performed solidly through the pandemic with a growth rate that has in fact, outpaced many larger firms. I would like to congratulate our franchisees and the Support Centre staff, who have all worked tirelessly throughout the last two years to aid and support clients with help and advice regarding the sheer volume of government announcements.

“As we enter the recovery period, which will undoubtedly go hand in hand with tax changes and higher tax bills, we have the expertise to engage and communicate with clients to ensure their compliance needs are met, as well as helping them to plan for the future, make key decisions and to understand how their business is performing.”

He added: “The Support Centre’s Tax Consulting and Payroll teams are now being used by a large percentage of our franchisees, enabling them to offer a much broader range of services to clients and we plan to launch a new financial services business over the coming months.

“This will open up tax planning opportunities as well as individual wealth management, succession planning, inheritance planning, relevant life policies, tax friendly investments and a range of similar services, all through TaxAssist branded shops. These are exciting times to be a part of the TaxAssist Accountants network.”
