PwC has bolstered the top team of its industrial manufacturing, automotive and services practice by appointing partner Paul Sloman as engineering and construction sector leader.

Sloman, who has been a partner at the firm for eight years, joins new industry leader, Nick Atkin.

Sloman was previously a partner at global firm, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Management Engineers.

He said: “The engineering and construction industry is at an inflection point, with modern methods of construction; access to labour and skills; ESG and government regulations presenting large scale changes, pushing firms to adapt.

“In my new role as sector leader, my focus will be on supporting our clients and indeed the wider industry, to not only adapt to disruption but rethink what’s possible and then go on to act.”

He added: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as sector leader of our engineering and construction practice, and look forward to working with my colleagues to help our clients navigate the current environment.”

Quentin Cole, leader of industries at PwC UK, added: “I am delighted to welcome Paul as our Engineering and Construction sector leader. The sector remains at the heart of the UK’s industrial focus and will play a vital role in driving economic recovery and achieving the goal of Net Zero emissions.

“An engineer by trade, Paul brings a wealth of experience to lead our practice and support clients through what promises to be an exciting time of transformation and change”
