Azets unveils two new appointments

Paul Haley, audit director, said internally, Debra and Gareth will work closely building a specialist service provision that delivers high quality professional governance, risk, and controls assurance

Azets has announced two new appointments to its South West and Wales internal audit team.

Gareth Campbell has joined the team as assistant manager and Debra Webb as senior internal audit manager – they will be working from the Cardiff office and covering internal audit clients across the South West and Wales.

Having worked in a range of sectors, including charity, housing, education and healthcare, the firm said Campbell is an ACCA Chartered Accountant who has completed numerous long-term secondments at government agencies, including the DVLA and Office for National Statistics, since qualifying in 2015.

With over 20 years’ experience, Webb is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA) and a lean six sigma greenbelt practitioner. She has worked across both the public and private sectors, most recently with Tata Steel Europe, delivering independent assurance and consultancy in Governance, Risk, and Internal Control.

Paul Haley, audit director at Azets South West and Wales, said: “The appointments of Debra and Gareth bolster our team to provide even more value-added internal audit insight to our clients and it goes without saying that we’re delighted to welcome them to the company.

Internally, Debra and Gareth will work closely to continue the development of the Azets Internal Audit Centre of Excellence – building a specialist service provision that delivers high quality professional governance, risk, and controls assurance to ensure clients across the network continue to receive the best possible service.”
