Menzies appoints new managing partner

The appointment comes as Julie Adams, the previous managing partner steps down following a nine-year tenure ahead of her retirement in 2023

Menzies has announced that it has selected Simon Massey as its newest managing partner of the firm.

The appointment comes as Julie Adams, the previous managing partner steps down following a nine-year tenure ahead of her retirement in 2023.

With more than 30 years’ experience as a professional tax accountant, Massey joined Menzies as partner 18 years ago and for the last seven years has played an active role on the firm’s management committee.

During this time, he has supported the development of the firm’s business strategy and for the past eight years he has also served as office principal of the firm’s Farnborough office.

Massey said: “This is an exciting time to step up to managing partner and I am looking forward to leading the firm through the challenges that will inevitably lie ahead as the economy emerges from the pandemic.

“Over the past 18 months, the firm has learned to think on its feet and take confident decisions quickly in the interests of its stakeholders, both employees and clients.”

He added: “While making the right choices hasn’t always been easy, I believe that as a firm we have grown stronger and more resilient, despite the prevailing uncertainty. With the backing of a strong management committee, I am looking forward to progressing the firm’s growth strategy.”
