EY-Parthenon appoints new energy sector partner

Bhambi will support clients on how they can engender purposeful and profitable business models, whilst supporting the transition towards sustainable and green energy

EY-Parthenon has announced the appointment of Anu Bhambi as its new energy sector partner.

The firm has said Bhambi brings 19 years’ experience in delivering “tangible” value in the energy sector and has operational exposure to oil and gas and power and utility markets, through management positions with listed and privately held energy companies.

In addition, EY said his advisory experience includes delivering “c-level strategy” for a global consultancy practice, where he was part of the senior energy leaderships in London, Dubai and Johannesburg and for the last 10 years his primary focus has been decarbonisation in the pursuit of net zero.

In his new role at EY-Parthenon, Bhambi will continue to support clients on how they can engender purposeful and profitable business models, whilst supporting the transition towards sustainable and green energy.

Bhambi has said his appointment comes as the energy and resources industry is undergoing “fundamental change”, with decarbonisation, digitisation, cost pressures and geopolitical uncertainty just some of the forces shaping it.

He said: “Businesses, now more than ever, are seeking a trusted advisor to help them navigate these challenges, and I’m looking forward to supporting our clients, with the market leading team at EY-Parthenon, to overcome these challenges and make the most of the opportunities ahead of them.”

Rob Doepel, markets leader for EY’s UK and I energy business, added: “With the eyes of the world on COP26, businesses are seeking real solutions to help reshape their businesses for a sustainable future. We are delighted to welcome Anu to the team.”
