RSM has announced the promotion of Ross Stupart as the new managing partner at the group’s Edinburgh office.

In the role, Stupart will support the firm’s Scottish growth strategy, leading the team in delivering commercial and technical advice for mid-market businesses.

He will also continue in his current tax partner position, while co-leading the company’s UK tax transactions group.

Alex Tait, regional managing partner for Scotland and Northern Ireland at RSM, said: “We have a strong business which continues to grow as we invest in key expertise and capability to ensure we are well placed to support the abundance of exciting, growing Edinburgh businesses.

“Drawing on Ross’ experience and stewardship we look forward to working with more clients to help navigate the transition out of the pandemic and beyond.”

Stupart has spent four years at RSM, having joined the group from a role as director at KPMG in 2017.

In total, he provides the position with 20 years of professional experience, working with clients across a range of sectors, such as construction, retail, manufacturing, food and drink, leisure and hospitality, technology, and professional services.

He said: “We have an exceptional team who have shown dedication and adaptability in supporting our clients.

“I look forward to working together with them to build on our recent successes with further investment in our existing team and new joiners that continue to enhance the breadth of support we can provide to our fantastic clients.”
