EY has announced the appointment of Dan Hall as its new UK wealth and asset management leader.

Hall takes over from Gill Lofts, who had occupied the role since 2011 and will now move full time to her role as EY’s global sustainable finance leader, heading up the firm’s group-wide sustainable finance business.

In his new role, Hall will lead over 70 UK partners and associate partners and almost 1,400 staff.

Hall became a consulting partner in 2012, joining EY’s wealth and asset management leadership team at that time.

Anna Anthony, UK financial services managing partner at EY, said: “I am delighted that Dan will lead our Wealth & Asset Management business in the UK. Dan brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been part of the wider leadership team for many years, and is highly respected in EY and across the industry.”

Hall added: “I’m thrilled to take on this role and pick up the mantle as the industry navigates ongoing market uncertainty and looks to transformation and growth.

“I am excited to lead such a high performing and talented team and look forward to continuing to help our clients expand and develop their businesses in increasingly sustainable, diverse and innovative ways.”
