Grant Thornton has confirmed the appointment of Jill Hay as a tax partner within its Scottish practice.

It is the latest investment in the Scottish tax practice by Grant Thornton, after the recent external appointments of Suzanne McIntyre as Associate Director, Jas Lally and Ruth Stevenson as Managers, and Kuran Olak as experienced Associate.

The company has also seen recent promotions to Associate Director for Julieann Allan and Cristina Pavel, with several further promotions in the pipeline and all new graduate places filled for the remainder of 2021.

Hay said: “I’m excited to join a firm with a brilliant culture, outstanding team and a network of dynamic clients operating in global markets.

“The Scottish tax business has performed strongly during these difficult times and it’s a testament to the strength of the team that the business is on course to produce record revenues and profit this year.”

Andrew Howie, practice leader for Grant Thornton in Scotland, added: It’s a pleasure to welcome Jill to the firm. Her appointment reflects our commitment to growing our tax offering and ensuring we continue to provide the best quality service to our clients.”
